this is an equilateral triangle so the right triangle’s hypotenuse is 40

to find x we need to use sin (which equals opposite of the angle over hypotenuse)

so

sin(x) = 20/40

sin(x) = 1/2

sin inverse(1/2) = x

x = 30°
