Explanation:

1. Take any two points from the line

• (1, -5) (-2, 4)

2. Use the equation: y2-y1 / x2-x1 to find the slope

4- (-5) / -2-1

= 9/-3

= slope is -3

3. Find the y intercept

y= -2

y= -3x-2 because the like intersects the y axis at -2 and according to rise over tun the slope is -3/1 which is simplified to -3
