Solve for x in y = -4x + 6.

x = −y/4 + 3/2

Solve for x in y = -2x - 2.

x = −y/2 −1

Nothing can be done with y = -4x + 6 and y = -2x - 2

(4,-10)

Explanation:

You set them equal to each other.

You get x=4
