Answer:

Kay sold 6 boxes and Ayan sold 19 boxes

Explanation:

Let x = number of boxes Kay sells

y = number of boxes Ayan sells

Then the equations will be:


x+y = 25\\x = y-13

We can solve the system by using substitution method

Putting x = y-13 in equation 1


y-13+y = 25\\2y -13 = 25\\2y = 25+13\\2y = 38

Dividing both sides by 2


(2y)/(2) = (38)/(2)\\y = 19

Putting y = 19 in equation 2


x = y-13\\x = 19-13\\x = 6

Hence,

Kay sold 6 boxes and Ayan sold 19 boxes
