The answer is 4=X

3 times X and 5 is 3X+15=5x+7

From there you subtract 3x from both sides and end up with 15= 2x+7

And then you subtract 7 from the 15. Which is 8

Then divide the 8 by 2 which is 4

Answer:

4 = x

Explanation:

First, distribute the 3 to the x and 5.

3x + 15 = 5x + 7

Now, subtract 3x from both sides and 7 from both sides.

8 = 2x

Now, divide by 2 on both sides.

4 = x
