Given :-


15x-45=3x

Answer :-


15x-3x =45


12x=45


x = (15)/(4)

or


x = 3.75

Extra Information :-

  • Sign change is mandatory if we change the place ,Example - if it was (+) if we change the place it will become (-) and if it was (-) and we change the place then it will become (+) ,but if we don't change the place then we don't need to change the sign ( +,-) .

Answer:

x=3.75

Explanation:

15x - 45= 3x

Subtract 15x from both sides:

-45 = -12x

Divide both sides by -12, the -12's cancel and you get:

-45/-12 = 3.75

x= 3.75
