Okay so it's pretty simple.

If you know how to do a French Braid, then you should be good to go.

STEPS TO DO DUTCH BRAIDS (if you already know how to do french braids)

Step One - Part your hair in the middle all the way down, get one side and put it in a bun or a pony tail to get it out of the way

Step Two - Get a small section of your front hair and divide them into three separate pieces

Step Three - Basically, you'll just start french braiding your hair, but the only difference is that you would braid backwards.

STEPS TO DO DUTCH BRAIDS (if you don't know how to do french braids)

Step One - Part your hair in the middle all the way down, get one side and put it in a bun or a pony tail to get it out of the way

Step Two - Get a small section of your front hair and divide them into three separate pieces

Step Three - Get one of the strands of hair (left or right, NOT MIDDLE) and put it behind the middle piece. Now, the middle piece should be the strand that you braided.

Step Four - This part is basically the same, but now, you would get the strand of hair that's of the other side (Example: if you started with the left side, then you need to get the right side). If you don't quite understand this part, keep on trying. It'll help you a lot on the next step.

Step Five - This part can be a little tricky if you don't know how to french braid already. So you already know your pattern (braiding behind the middle piece). But now, you would need to start adding hair to your strands. Get the piece that you would start braiding next, and get a small section of hair and add that to your strand. (Example: get your finger and start parting it upwards, starting at your hairline. you should meet up with where you're braiding). Once you've done that, you can braid it behind the middle piece.

Step Six - This part is basically the same, just do it on the other side.

Step Seven - There's not much to this part, you would just start braiding down your head

Step Eight - Oh! I see that you're getting bored. Don't worry, you need to do something slightly different at this part. So once you've braided down your head, you need to stop at the top of your neck. Now, you would just start braiding normally (Yes, you still need to braid backwards unless you want your braid to look uneven and trashy), meaning you don't need to add anymore hair, because you shouldn't have to unless you screwed something up and you still have hair out.

Step Nine - Once you've braided all the way down, just secure it with a rubber band

Step Ten - Start on the other side! Just repeat the steps again :)

Just so you know, this will take a lot of practice, even if you know how to french braid already. When I started dutch braiding my hair, I'm not gonna hold you, I was pretty trash at it. But, I kept on practicing. And eventually, I got really good! So don't get frustrated if it looks bad, just breath, and try again. Hopefully this helps :)
