The graph of F(x) can be stretched vertically and flipped over the x-axis to produce the graph of G(x) . If F(x) x^2 , which of the following could be the equation of G(x)

Answer: (B) g(x)= -6x^2

Explanation:
If F(x) is stretched, then values of F(x) for some x-value will be increased by some multiple a, where a > 1.

But the graph is flipped, so the sign of of the values of F(x) for some x-value will change e.g. if f(x) = 5, flip of f(x) = -5.
