What is the equation in slope-intercept from of the line that passes through the point (3, 1) and is parallel to the line represented by y = 2.4x + 6.5?

Parallel = same slope
Y = 2.4x + b
Plug in the point to find b
1 = 2.4(3) + b
1 = 7.2 + b
b = -6.2
Final equation: y = 2.4x - 6.2
