Without actually going through the solution process. we can say that the equation

|5x-6| =6x cannot have a negative solution. Why is this true?

This is true because if you are finding the absolute value of a number, you are finding the number’s value, or distance from zero, regardless of its sign.

A positive number divided by a positive number is positive and the sum of two positive numbers is positive, thus the solution would have to be positive.
