There are 20 boys and 16 girls. what is the largest number of groups that you can form such that boys and girls are distributed equally among the groups?​

First we find the GCF or Greatest Common Factor

20: 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20

16: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16

As you can see 4 is the GCF (Greatest Common Factor)

so, the largest number of groups are 4

Unless you are asking for how many girls and boys can be fit in each group then,

20 ÷ 4 = 5

16 ÷ 4 = 4

So, 5 boys and 4 girls are in each group.
