Answer: x= 10

Explanation:

5x - 6 = 44

5x= 44+6

5x= 50

x= 10

you should shift -6 to the other side then it becomes positive which is +6 then u have to add 44 and 6 which the answer is 50 and then it should be divided by 5 since x should be subject, so 50 is 5x10 so your answer is 10.

Answer:

1. Add 6 to both sides, cause that is the inverse of subtraction, so you get 5x = 50 as 6 cancels 6 out.

2. Divide 5 from both sides and get x = 10
