For plot 1:

The area = ( 60 - 20 ) × ( 80 - 20 )

Area = 40 × 60

Area = 2400 sq yard

For plot 2:

Area = (160 - 120 ) × ( 180 - 120 )

Area = 40 × 60

Area = 2400 sq yard

Therefore, the combined area of the two plots of land = 2400 + 2400

= 4800 square yards
