The ratio of a drawing to an object is 6 cm: 40 cm. If the length of the drawing is 36 cm, what is the actual length of the object?

Brainleast? I mean if u give me an answer and an explanation pls.

The actual length of the object is 240.

Explanation:

If the length of the drawing is 36cm, then we divide 36 by 6, which then equals 6...

Since we changed the 6, we have to change the 40...

40 x 6 = 240

so the ratio is 36:240 and the object's length equals 240cm
