6 There are 10 lanes in the bowling alley where Harold bowls. He wants to make a

scale drawing of the bowling alley using a scale of 3 cm to 15 ft. One lane,

including gutters, is 60 ft long and 5 ft wide. What will the width of all 10 lanes on

his drawing be?

The scale he uses is

15 ft= 3 cm

1 feet = 3/15 cm

1 cm= 15ft/3= 5 ft

In centimeters it would be 60 ft / 5ft = 12 cm long and 5 ft/5ft= 1 cm wide

The width of 1 lane is 1 cm .
