What is the difference between:

Everyone is having a hard time (passing) the test.

VS

Everyone is have a hard time (to pass) the test.

Answer:

the above one says everybody is having a hard time passing the test means they are having a hard time passing the question paper. and the second means that they are having a hard time to get the average marks (pass Mark.)
