Explanation:

3x-2y=11

2x-3y=4

you multiply both equations to cancel one variable out. in this case you multiply the first equation by 2 and the second by -3

6x-4y=22

+ -6x-9y=12

--------------------------

0x+5y=10

y=2

you plug that in either equation

3x-2(2)=11

3x-4=11

3x=15

x=5
