BP Pizzeria sell medium pizzas with a circumference of 28 centimeters and want to enlarge their medium pizza to a circumference of 84 centimeters. What scale factor was used to create the new pizza?

Answer: 3

Explanation:

The scale factor is the ratio by which a size of a thing was increased or decreased so that it can be converted to the size of another thing.

In this case that scale factor is;

= 84/28

= 3

A Scale factor if 3 was used to create the new pizza as the new pizza is the old pizza increased by 3.
