You are driving home from the grocery store and are going 29 miles in a 25 miles an hour zone. You are pulled over by a police

officer. This is the first time you have ever gotten a ticket! The officer writes you a ticket for $100,000 that you must pay by the end of the week or face jail time on top of the fine.

is this a fair punishment? Why or why not?

Answer:

No, this is not a fair punishment because if I am only going 4 miles more than the original mileage. I would say that if the police officer were trying to prove a point than he/she should've given a $100 fine or he/she should've given me a warning since I've never gotten a ticket.
