Justin wants to make a necklace with 72 beads. He knows that 12 beads

take up 4 inches of string, but the store only sells string by the centimeter.
How many centimeters should he buy? Explain. (Hint: 1inch = 2.54 cm) *

Answer: 60.96 cm

12 beads take up 4 inches

72/12 = 6

Hence, 72 beads take up 4 * 6 inches

72 beads take up 24 inches

24 inches = 24 * 2.54

24 inches = 60.96
