1/4 x 2 2/3, what is the product? (In fraction)

8/12

Explanation:

you want to write out your problem so it is

1/4 * 2 2/3

then you would want to change your 2nd fraction into an improper fraction (i think. i don't remember the correct term)

so you would multiply the denominator by the whole number on the side and then add the numerator to it

2 2/3 would them become 8/3 (you keep the denominator the same through the process)

so then you would multiply

1/4 by 8/3

multiply across and you get 8/12
