x²+y²+1/2x-2y-5=0

x²+1/2x+y²-2y=5

x²+1/2x+1/16+y²-2y+1= 5+1/16+1

(x+1/4)²+(y-1)²= 6 + 1/16

(x+1/4)²+(y-1)²= 16/16 +1/16

(x+1/4)²+(y-1)²= 17/16

(x+1/4)²+(y-1)²=
(\sqrt{ (17)/(16) } )^(2)

(x+1/4)²+(y-1)²=
( ( √(17) )/(4) ) ^(2)

-> center of the circle= M(1/4 , -1)

-> radius=
( √(17) )/(4)
