answer= 102

Explanation:

Given,

Perimeter=46

Let, breadth=X

Then, length = 4X-7

Now,

Perimeter= 2(l+b)

46 = 2(4X-7+X)

46 = 2(5X-7)

(46)÷2 = 5X-7

23+7 = 5X

30 = 5X

30÷5 = X

:-X = 6

Also,

length = 4×6-7 = 17

breadth = 6

Then,

Dimensions = l×b

= 17×6

= 102

Answer:

  • the width = 6 units
  • the length = 17 units

Explanation:

Let 'w' be the width

  • The length is 7 less than 4 times the width.

so the length = 4w - 7

The formula of the Perimeter is

Perimeter = 2(length + width)

46 = 2(4w - 7+ w)

46 = 2(5w- 7)

46 = 10w-14

46+14 = 10w

60 = 10w

w = 6

Hence,

  • the width = 6 units
  • the length = 4w - 7 = 4(6)-7= 24-7=17 units
