Answer:

1) The draft is a conscription by citizens of the United States to join the army. Both sides were short of people to help fight which the draft necessary in order to get people to fight. 2) Exemptions could be bought or you could get someone else to do the draft for you. 3) There were exemptions to those who bought it and those who had plantations with 20 slaves. 4) Typical food during the Civil War was very basic. They often ate pork and hard tack. They also drank coffee. 5) Soldiers went hungry and suffered from night blindness, and depression. 6) not sure whats being asked.. sorry!
