hello,

the human heart is one big muscle in our body that functions via electric signals to and from our brain. There are 4 different chambers that make up the heart:

- The "Atria" (upper two chambers of the heart)

- "Ventricles" (lower two chambers)

The heart wall consists of three layers....

"Epicardium" - The outer layer of the "wall" of the heart.

"Myocardium" -The muscular middle layer of the wall of the heart.

"Endocardium" The inner layer of the heart.

In the simplest terms, our hearts work hard to move oxygenated blood to our muscles and organs so we can function properly.

There are a ton of easily accessible articles on the anatomy of the heart - I encourage you to check it out!

Hope this helped! =]
