I'm doing system of equations and I have to solve using substitution

the equations are y=5x and xy=45​

Answer: +3, -3

Explanation:

ok so all you need to do is plug in that first equation into the second one.

x(5x) = 45

5x^2 = 45

x^2 = 9

x = +3, -3

Plug in 5x for y
x(5x) = 45
5x^2 = 45
Divide by 5
x^2 = 9
X = 3
