Find the resistances of two resistors connected in parallel where one

resistance is three times as large as the other. Total resistance is 12 ohms.

Answer:

I don't remember the name of the law, but it states that when resistors are connected in series they put up one singular resistance. so,

Let smaller resistance be x

greater resistance is 3x

According to the question,

x+3x=12

4x=12

x=3

therefore,

resistors are of 3 ohms and 3×3=9 ohms
