What is the slope-intercept form of a line that passes through points (7,16) and (1,4)?

y=-2x-6

Answer:

y = 2x + 2

Explanation:

The formula is y = mx + b, and to find the slope it's y2-y1 / x2-x1, so you do 4-16 = -12 and 1-7 = -6, and -12/-6 = , so your slope is 2.

Then you use one point and put it into your equation ex: 4 = 2(1) + b and simplify to find the y-intercept (b).

Then that's your answer!
