Equation A: y = 2x + 8
Equation B: 3(-2x + y) = 12

What is the solution to the system of equations?
please help!

Ok so they made it rlly easy for you (yay!!)
Plug A into B
3(-2x + (2x + 8)) = 12
3(8) = 12
24 ≠ 12
No real solution!!

If you graph them, the lines are parallel so they will never intersect!!

Eqn (2)

It may be seen, L H S of equations (1) & (2) are same but not R H S.

Hence there is inconsistency in the given statement and no solution.
