Hello there, I hope you are having a splendid day. :)

Perpendicular lines have slopes that are opposite reciprocals.

This means you take a number, flop it over, and make it negative.

The opposite reciprocal of -3 is

(1)/(3)

This is our answer. Hope it helps. Ask me if you have any queries. :)

Answer: 1/3

Explanation:

The slope of a perpendicular line is the opposite reciprocal.

For example, if slope of line A is a/b, then slope of line B which is perpendicular will be -b/a.

Substitute 1 and 3 for a and b. Apply the formula and get 1/3.
