Mountain climber Joe climbed to a mountain peak that was1200 feet above its base and 1500 feet east of its base. Mountain climber Bob climbed to a mountain peak that was 900 feet above its base and 1000 feet east of its base.

In order to figure out who climbed the mountain you have to solve using the puthagreom theorem a squared + b squared = c squared

In this case you have multiply 12000 by 2 to replace a squared, you multiply 1500 by 2 to replace b squared and you leave c squared

Once you have that add the two numbers together, 2400+3000, this equals 5400

now you have 5400 = c squared, to solve you have to find the square root of 5400 giving you the rounded number of 73.48=c

After you have completed do the exact same thing with Mountain climber Bob. This gives you the rounded number of 61.64.

therefore, mountain climber Joe has climbed the steepest hill
