Looking through figure, we get;

(3x + 1)° = (2x + 9)° + 30° { Exterior angle of triangle is equal to the sum of opposite adjacent interior angles}

(3x + 1)° = 2x + 9° +30°

or, 3x - 2x = 39° - 1°

x = 38°

X = 38°

Therefore, x = 38°

For w:

(3x + 1)° + w = 180° (being linear pair)

(3*38+1 )°+ w = 180°

115°+ w = 180°

w = 180° -115°

Therefore, w = 65°
