8 11/20

Explanation:

First add the whole numbers

6+2=8

Then add the fractions but since they have different denominators we need to find the Lowest Common Multiple of 10 and 4 which is 20

We then divide by the denominator and multiply by the numerator in both cases

20÷10=2 ×3=6

20÷4=5×1=5

And then we add the two numbers

6+5=11

the common multiple becomes our denominator so the answer is

8 11/20
