Answer:

The Odyssey is an ancient Greek epic poem written by Homer, one of the most famous works in world literature. It tells the story of the adventures and delusions of the epic protagonist Odysseus on his way home from the Trojan War. In an attempt to get home from Troy, Odysseus faces a variety of adversities, strange peoples, and dangerous monsters. The Odyssey is also a kind of sequel to the Iliad epic, also named after Homer, which tells of some of the key events of the Trojan War.

This story, in general lines, praises Odysseus' desire to return home to his family despite all the difficulties that arise along the way. Thus, he enhances the figure of the hero in the face of different adversities, which he dodges with skill and a little luck.
