Ruth develops a blueprint with the help of a triangle. The longest side of the instrument measures 14 inches and one of the sides measures 12 inches. Determine the length of the other side of the instrument.

Do
14^(2) - 12^(2), which will give you an answer of 52.

After doing this since you're calculating a side and you've been given the longest side already it can't possibly be an answer of 52.

Your answer should be 7.2 inches.
