Answer:

x = 2

Explanation:

Firstly, when a line is parallel to the y axis, the equation of the line is x = the x position common to the points, in this case, x = 2.

but if you want to calculate,

from the points,

x1 = 2, y1 = 3

x2 = 2, y2 = 5

x3 = 2, y3 = 7

using the formula,

y-y1/x-x1 = y2-y1/x2-x1

y-3/x-2 = 5-3/2-2

y-3/x-2 = 2/0

crossing we have,

2(x-2) = 0(y-3)

2x - 4 = 0

2x = 4

x = 2

Answer:

x = 2

Explanation:

The equation of a vertical line parallel to the y- axis is

x = c

where c is the value of the x- coordinates the line passes through.

The line passes through (2, 3), (2, 5), (2, 7) all with an x- coordinate 2, thus

x = 2 ← equation of vertical line
