The answer is 7 students in the group neither take German nor Italian.

That is because 8 students that take Italian + the 12 that take German, and + the 3 student that take both = 23 students.

Since they are 30 students in total and 23 students that take either German, Italian, or both, you subtract the 23 students from the total 30, leaving you with 7 students who neither take German not Italian.

I hope this helps, cause then again idek

Simple, 13 students do not take a language class.

8 french students + 12 Spanish students = 20 language students

3 students take both classes so 20 - 3 = 17 language students.

30 - 17 = 13

Therefore 13 students neither take Spanish nor French.
