At the end of the year, cars made in the current year are marked down to make room for next year's models. One particular model had a sticker price of $22,570 when it was new. It has just been marked down by 10%. What is the sale price of the vehicle?

Answer:

$20,313

Explanation:

You're only reducing 10% of the cost so first you need to figure out what 10% of $22,570.

All you need to do is

22570×0.1=2,257

and then

22,570-2,257=20,313

There is other ways to do this but this is how I do it. Hope this helps!
