Yellow bone marrow can be found within the medullary cavity. You see, the anatomy of a compact bone consists of blood vessels, cartilage, red bone marrow, etc. Within the bone there is spongy bone which holds the medullary cavity, and within this cavity there is yellow bone marrow.
