Answer:

x < 8

Explanation:

This is a special case, so at the end of the equation we'll flip the sign.

Distribute:

2 * 2x = 4x

2 * -8 = -16

4x - 16

4 * 3x = 12x

4 * -12 = -48

12x - 48

4x - 16 > 12x - 48.

Subtract 12 from both sides.

12 - 12 = 0

4x - 12x = -8x

-8x - 16 > -48

The additive inverse of subtraction is addition so do -16 + -48, which equals -64

-8x/-8 = x

-64/-8 = 8

Now this is where we flip our sign so here we go :)

x < 8

There.

Hope this helped and sorry if I'm wrong.

2(2x-8)
2•2x=4x
2•-8= -16
So now 4x-16
Now divide both sides by 4
4x/4=x
-16/4=-4
X=-4
