What is the y-intercept of the line that contains the point (3, –2) and is perpendicular to the line y = – 2/5 x + 3/5?

Y = 5/2x because the A value need to be the opposite reciprocal for a perpendicular line you then plug the point you are given into our new EQ which equals -2=(5/2)(3) + b (solving for b) and you get b = -9.5 so your new equation is y = 5/2x - 9.5 making your Y int -9.5
