What caused the rise of dictators during the interwar period? What was the main focus of these dictators?

Answer: The three most important dictators to arise in Europe in the decade or so after the First World War were Benito Mussolini in Italy, Joseph Stalin in the Soviet Union and Adolf Hitler in Germany. These men rose to power essentially because their countries had in some way been made unhappy by the outcome of that war.

Answer:Rise of Dictators. The depression in Europe gave rise to the dictators in Spain, Italy and Germany. People lost hope in democracies and wanted a strong leader to correct the problems. Strong leaders promised solutions to the problems in their countries.

Bad economies. And the main focus was to fix them.
