genghis khan

genghis khan believed in freedom of religion

ethical in that he would ask the country to join his empire

if they said no, only then would he wage war

after conquering he maintained freedom of religion

scholars & thinkers do influence their societies

example karl marx wrote about communism

communism was a powerful force in the world for many years

most writing before took the side of the wealthy & powerful

karl marx's writings tooknl the side of those who were taken advantage of by the rich and poweful, namely the working class

scholars and teachers should have power/influence because the are experts in their field and can focus the right way money & resources of the government

presidents often hire scholars to help them
