we are going to apply the part to all method to solve this problem

Step one:

Given that the ratio of pears to banana is 6:5

the total ratio is 6+5= 11

and the total fruit is 44

Step two:

let the number of banana be x

applying the part to all method

5/11=x/44

cross multiply we have

11x=44*5

11x=220

divide both sides by 11

x=220/11

x=20

the bananas are 20 in numbers
