Answer:

26.5 ft

Explanation:

Let the point of the tree sticking out water be represented as S.

Thus, we have ∆LMS.

How far Lisa is from the tree in the water =
\overline{LS}

Using Sine Rule, find
\overline{LS}

\frac{\overline{LS}}{sin(M)} = \frac{\overline{MS}}{sin(L)}

\overline{LS} = x

\overline{MS} = 22 ft

\angle M = 103

\angle L = 54

Plug in the values into the equation

Thus:

(x)/(sin(103)) = (22)/(sin(54))

Multiply both sides by sin(103)

(x)/(sin(103))*sin(103) = (22)/(sin(54))*sin(103)

x = (22*sin(103))/(sin(54))

x = 26.5 ft (nearest tenth)

✅Lisa is 26.5 ft far away from the tree in the water.
