Question:

The most common type of harmony in the Baroque Period was

answer: Harmony came to be thought of as chords that laid the foundation for the melody. Major and minor as we know them today became established as keys instead of modes, and the harmonic patterns of tonality began to evolve. hmm

Polyphony is having multiple voices, harmony is how those multiple voices interact and relate to each other. Polyphony doesn't necessarily mean playing at the same time either, just the act of having multiple voices in a piece. Melodic independence and consonant treatment. so i think it is A.Polyphony
