Answer:

y = ( - 9)/(8) x + 7

Explanation:

Slope intercept form is

y=mx+b

(m) is slope

(b) is y intercept

The y intercept is where ethe line crosses the y axis [vertical axis]

The line crosses at (0, 7)so our b=7, now we need slope.

The formula for slope is (y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁),

which is the y of the second given point minus the y of the first given point divided by the x of the second given point over the x of the 1st given point.

(-2-7)/(8-0)

-9/8 is our slope

put our (m) and (b) into the formula

y=-9/8x+7

Hope this helps! If you have any questions on how I got my answer feel free to ask. Stay safe!
