Answer:

3x-y=27

Explanation:

perpendicular is making a 90 degree angle, so it would need to be a slope of 3 if the other is -1/3.

y=9, x=27

3x-y=27 is the polar opposite, and should work, sorry if wrong. hard to do in my head without a graph to help.

Answer:

y = 3x + 3

Explanation:

x + 3y = 27

3y = -x + 27

y =
(-1)/(3)x +(27)/(3)

y =
(-1)/(3)x + 9

m₁ = -1/3

the slope of the line perpendicular to x + 3y = 27 is m₂ = -1/m₁

m₂ =
-1 * (-3)/(1) = 3 , Point (1 , 6)

y - y1 = m (x -x1)

y -6 = 3(x - 1)

y - 6= 3x - 3

y = 3x - 3 +6

y = 3x + 3
