If is perpendicular to y=-2x+1 that has the slope -2, then the slope is negative reciprocal so is 1/2

Use the (x-x1)m= (y-y1) equation and the given point (2, -1),

so (x-2)1/2=(y+1); x-2=2y+2; 2y=x-2-2; 2y=x-4; y=(1/2)x-2
