Substitute
So, -2x-7 = 3x + 3
+2x. +2x
-7= 5x +3
-5x. -5x

-5x-7= 3
+7. +7
-5x= 10

Divide -5 on both sides and you get x= -2

Then substitute -2 in the first equation

-2(-2)-7
4-7
Y= -3
